POCABAR with partner IBM at it-sa

The POCABAR team attended it-sa, which is Europe's leading Cyber Security Expo with 19,449 trade visitors from 55 countries and 795 exhibitors from 30 countries. It's one of the world's largest dialogue platforms for industry-specific IT security solutions. International IT security experts and decision-makers met at Exhibition Center Nuremberg to exchange views on challenges and trends in cyber security.

SADDI launches Recruitment Campaign

Summer break is over, and, back to business, people may think of the next steps in their professional career. Perfect timing for launching a recruitment campaign!

As reference to SADDI's comic book style, the ad targets potential "super heroes for making the IT world a safer place". It doesn't show open positions and addresses beginners as well as pros, to draw public attention to exciting jobs in this field, and to make people curious to learn more now.

The ad debuted in its German version in the cyber security brochure issued by German law enforcement agencies in September, and then appeared also in English in online and print media as well as in promotional articles.

Debut of our new Booth

At contact fair Pyramid, we celebrated the debut of our new booth reflecting POCABAR's corporate design. We realized that interested visitors appreciated the large QR code a lot. This way, they could look up our website on their cell phones, prior to approaching our team for a conversation.

Just like last year, the contact fair in the university city Augsburg/Germany can be considered a great success for us. Many computer science students took advantage of this ideal opportunity to make initial contact and get first hand information from our great team about our innovative, exciting products and services. POCABAR counts on Green Data Center

POCABAR CEO Wolfgang Mair signed the contract for moving the first servers into the new data center built and operated by LEW TelNet. The remarkable key point: It's a high tech and completely C02 neutral Green Data Center.

Wolfgang Mair: "The LEW Green Data Center's idea has excited us immediately; already at a very early stage. Therefore, we're now one of its first clients as well as its ambassador. For a long time, we're already partners of LEW TelNet and, of course, are actively recommending this climate friendly data center to our clients."

JANUARY 2024

POCABAR Subsidiary launched in Dubai

The iconic Emirates Towers are home to POCABAR IT & CyberSecurity L.L.C, the first fully-owned subsidiary of POCABAR GmbH abroad.

Wolfgang Mair (CEO) is proud to announce that the subsidiary, after its soft launch in late 2023, is fully operative now: "With being a local in the UAE, we've got access to exciting projects in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. In the region, there are a lot of government and privately held companies including operators of critical infrastructure, which our portfolio of products and services is ideal for."

Now, the POCABAR Dubai team is looking forward to successfully completing the first projects in the gulf region which are already lined up for the first half of the year.

Successful GITEX GLOBAL in Dubai

The POCABAR team attended GITEX GLOBAL, the world's largest tech exhibition showcasing innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. Stressful but very successful five days for Wolfgang Mair (CEO), Manuel Vazquez (VP CyberSecurity) and Rolf Mangold (VP Biz Dev)!

A truly productive time at Dubai's World Trade Center exhibition grounds: Discussing the latest trends and developments with our trusted vendor partners at their booths as well as, of course, lining up exciting new business opportunities for POCABAR's local subsidiary.

We're extremely proud to announce today that POCABAR will be among the first exhibitors at the all-new GITEX EUROPE, which will be highlighting the USD 3 trillion valued European tech industry. Save the date: Berlin, May 2025.

Webinar: NAC for mid-sized Companies

Our one-hour webinar about "NAC for mid-sized Companies" has been a great success!

After a welcome by Katharina Rech from our partner Forescout Technologies, POCABAR's VP CyberSecurity, Manuel Vazquez, first spoke about the challenges of network security, in particular the detection and monitoring of all connected end devices. Afterwards, our client Winkelmann Group contributed the appropriate success story from practice right away.

We're very proud that Manuel Vazquez has already been granted Forescout Forerunner status a while ago, the highest level of recognition individuals can achieve with Forescout. This status is solely based on experience and technical competence, and it includes various exclusive, mandatory in-depth training opportunities with Forescout.

Proud Partner of the AEV Panthers

Cyber security and ice hockey have a lot of common ground: High performance, rapid response, proactive moves, and permanent training (education).

POCABAR is proud to continue supporting the AEV Panthers during the 2023/2024 season. The Augsburg based Panthers are a major league ice hockey team in Germany playing in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), with fans all across the country and beyond.

POCABAR focuses on E-Mobility

Innovation is part of POCABAR's business, not only in terms of products and services, but also with our fleet. That's why we're focusing entirely on environmentally friendly e-mobility already for some time now.

Wolfgang Mair (CEO) recently gained international "e-experience" on a business trip to Milan/Italy, which included crossing the famous Swiss San Bernardino Pass. His assessment after 1,000km in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy: "The charging infrastructure along the highways is already very well developed. There were always stations available for fast charging. If you're still hesitant to go on vacation abroad with an electric vehicle, I can reassure you: It's no problem at all!"

Contact Fair Pyramid has been a huge Success

This May, POCABAR was represented for the first time with an info booth at the Pyramid in the university city of Augsburg/Germany. Many computer science students took advantage of this ideal opportunity to make initial contact with POCABAR and to learn directly from our great team about our innovative, exciting products and services.

Sybille Lohfink-Mair (COO & CFO) was particularly enthusiastic about the interest shown by the many female students: "We very much welcome the fact that more and more female applicants are coming forward. Cyber security and networks are exciting topics, and not just for males anymore."
